I was contacted by a friend of a Little League coaching colleague for this project.  Sadly, the spouse of the owner had passed away after a long illness.  While healthy, as an avid woodworker, he began remodeling the kitchen using paduak, but only completed half of the cabinet hosting the oven.
 
All of the doors, drawers, and face frames were made from solid Padauk, and the cabinetry cases from pre-finished Baltic Birch.  As with all of our doors and drawers, soft close hinges and runners were used.  LED lighting inside of the glass door cabinets was also installed.  For the door panels on the uppermost cabinets, only reached with a ladder, a patterned piece of sojhi paper was sandwiched between 2 panes of glass adding a calmness to the kitchen area.
 
The large kitchen island included an end-grain parquet patterned bamboo countertop.  It required 3 deliveries to finally receive one that wasn't cracked down the middle.  The drivers let me keep the broken ones, and those have turned into nice cutting boards.  There were numerous other details and work included, so reach out if you're tired of reading this description.
