This 6-foot tall bookcase was designed for the daughter of an exisiting client and made from solid cherry and vertical grain fir, which is challenging to locate excellent quality.  The shelves are adjustable, and the cove on the top was hand scraped.  
 
During this build, I learned a new term, "lamb's tongue."  If you look closely at the insude corners of the cove moulding, you can see the wood is smooth-flowing upward towards the corner.  This is called a "lamb's tongue."  Hmmm
